OpenMontage is an open-source production system you run with an AI coding assistant. Montage is the AI production studio for directing finished, editable video from your footage.
Choose OpenMontage when you want an open-source production stack you can configure. Choose Montage when you already have footage and want to direct what gets produced from it.

OpenMontage can build across media sources.
Its documented pipelines can combine generated media, open archives, stock footage, existing clips, narration, music, captions, composition tools, and provider APIs. The AI coding assistant operates the pipeline and presents approval gates.
OpenMontage is AGPL-3.0 software. A local toolchain is required, and optional provider usage can add production costs.

You point Montage at recorded material and direct the outcome. Its live visual intelligence reads the screen, not just the transcript. The transcript remains the spine for spoken intelligence and spoken captions.
Montage produces a controllable first cut as finished, editable video. You keep the taste and final judgment, with polish in Studio.
Playbooks are new and available to eligible accounts as rollout expands. They capture editorial judgment once so it can be reused.
